Once again, we will be serving up local beers from Luckie Ales, local wines from Cairn O’Mhor Wines and local music.

At this event we will be launching the North Howe Transition Action Groups.
Letham Nights Friday 12th December at Letham Village Hall
‘Letham Nights’ aims to bring high quality music to Letham and provide a stage for local talent. We are committed to creating a zero-carbon village hall and funds from these events will go towards this aim. We support North Howe Transition Toun and are delighted to welcome the Transition Tavern to provide you with local ale and wine.
The series starts of with The Moonzie Allstars
“A mixing up of tune and acoustic groove” with influences that span the globe from Scotland and Ireland to Africa, Brazil and Cuba.

‘Preparing for a Changing Future’
Tuesday 18th November 8 pm – 10 pm.
Letham village hall.Free event.
Presentation and exploration of our next steps.
During 2008 the North Howe Transition Toun has hosted a series of awareness raising events looking at the possible effects of peak oil and climate change on our local community and asking what people would like to see happen in this area. In the past two months we have also had an informative session on eco-renovating one’s home, as well as the successful launch of our Transition Tavern.
There are a growing number of local people interested in becoming more actively involved in practical projects to help us all prepare for a changing future. This meeting is an opportunity to express your views and become involved. The evening will begin with a presentation on the Transition model, including examples of what other Transition Initiatives have achieved (for example local food, transport and energy projects). There will then be space for discussion and exploration of ideas for our local area and towards the end of the evening we will form action groups to take the ideas forward and develop specific projects.
Come and contribute – ideas and action!
