Click to see the Park Shelter Plans It has been over 2 years since we started our project to improve the facilities in Letham Park and create a beautiful park shelter for all of our community to enjoy. We have had our fair share of problems with gas pipes and changes in finances [...] As many will be aware Letham Woodland group hopes to secure a community buy out of Letham Wood. The advantages are that by bringing the wood into community ownership, we can safeguard it (prevent it from being clear felled), ensure that it is managed properly to encourage a diverse range of wildlife, develop the wood [...] The North Howe Transition Toun were selected to be featured in one of a series of 4 films commissioned by the Energy Saving Trust. Our film was focusing on community engagement and was filmed during our Letham Toolkit launch event. Earlier this year, Donald Dallas (local teacher, long-time resident and President of the Letham Lawnmower Society) delivered a fantastic talk on the history of Letham.
