EAST FIFE COMMUNITY TRANPORT & GOOD NEIGHBOURS SERVICE
STRATHEDEN HOSPITAL SHOP AND CAFE, CUPAR
DO YOU HAVE A FEW HOURS TO SPARE?
WOULD YOU LIKE TO HELP YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY?
If you can answer yes to these questions, we would like to hear from you.
Royal Voluntary Service is one of the largest volunteer organisations in the country. By giving your time to do something practical for an older person in your community you help them stay active and independent.
Volunteering with us won’t just transfer the lives of older people; it will change your life too. Volunteers only give up the time that they want to give whether it’s as little as 1 to 2 hours a week, fortnight or month. The commitment you make is entirely up to you, when and if you are available on the time/day we need to provide the service.
Royal Voluntary Service volunteers, provide transport across fife, using their own cars, to those individuals who find that other transport systems don’t meet their needs.
As a good neighbour volunteer, you could be asked to help with a number of tasks such as befriending, help with shopping, collecting library books and confidence building
As a Service Assistant Volunteer you would be asked to help within the shop/cafe at Stratheden Psychiatric Care Hospital dealing with customers including patients, staff and visitors and empathic and patient nature is a major quality in this volunteering opportunity, all additional training given.
