The hall committiee are holding another craft fair onFriday March 30th from 6.30pm- 9pm
(stallholders get in at 6pm.)

Tables are £10. 00 and can be booked through Juliet, entrance to the public is
£1.00 and includes refreshments

Dr Bike (Daves bike Shed Aberdour) will be at the Letham Coffee Morning in the Village Hall on

Saturday 8th October 1000-1200

doing FREE checks on all Letham bikes to:

check tyres and inflate if necessary;
check steering and seating;
put bike onto the workstand;
check the operation of brakes and gears and make minor adjustments.

This will get your bike safe and on the road again and ready for use on the new cycle routes currently being built around the NHTT area. For work requiring parts special Letham prices apply…

Craft Fair- Saturday 24th September 2011

A craft fair will be held in Letham Village Hall on Saturday, 24 September 2011 from 10.00am. – 3.00pm., proceeds in aid of hall funds.

Entry fee is £1.00 and tea and coffee, or a soup and sandwich lunch will be available.

Any craftsfolk interested in renting a table, at a cost of £15 per table, should contact Juliet Gordon on 01337 810298.

Love letters

Following the success of last years Alan Bennet evening John Vaughan has arranged for Red Wine Productions to make a return visit. This time it will be getting a bit more romantic for a valentines evening. At the last event all who attended enjoyed staying behind for a chat after the performance and hope this time round things will be no different. See below tickets and more information.
All proceeds will go towards helping the Village Hall invest in improvements that will cut its energy use and bills.

Alan Bennett and a Lady of Letters

On 9th October, the “Alan Bennett and a Lady of Letters” production was held in the village hall. £200 was raised on the evening to go towards Hall funds. Plans are now being made for another production of “Love Letters”, probably at or around Valentine’s Day. Further details on this site.

Alan Bennet Comes to Letham

Alan Bennett comes to Letham in the form of a play and examples of his monologues on Saturday 9th October.

Ticket price is £6 and includes a glass of wine .

Garden Party at Monimail

Pat and Hugh Laidlaw from North Lodge, Monimail, are going to host a Garden Tea Party on Sunday 29th August in aid of Letham Hall funds. The garden will be open from 2-4.30pm and in addition to the chance to have a cup of tea or coffee and walk around the garden and wood, there will be a plant stall, a baking stall and a tombola. There will be a treasure hunt and a quoits game for the children. Entrance costs £2.50 for adults and 50p for school age children. Car parking will be available in the church car park. The garden is fully accessible but the wood has uneven ground.

Letham reared Bacon Rolls

Come along and enjoy some Letham reared bacon, served in a roll, at the Letham Hall Coffee Morning this Saturday. The Rotherams of School Brae Have supplied the bacon, at least one of their (ex) pigs did!
Alas the Letham coffee bean plantation hasn’t really worked so it will have to be Columbias finest I’m afraid!

Letham Talk DVD- The Best Stocking Filler in the World?

Earlier this year, Donald Dallas (local teacher, long-time resident and President of the Letham Lawnmower Society) delivered a fantastic talk on the history of Letham. I filmed the talk and have finally managed to workout how to burn it on to DVD.

If you’d like a copy of the DVD, it can be purchased for the value price of £5. All profits to the Village Hall Fund (ie all of it as I’ve donated the blank DVDs!) If you’d like a copy, either email , phone him on 01337 810349 or send a cheque to “Letham Village Hall Fund” for £5 per disc, to Saddlers Cottage, The Row, Letham, Fife KY15 7RS.
