SOOOOOO excited to bring this amazing collective to the hall! The only issue is how we are going to fit them all on the stage!
Magnificent award-winning jazz/funk/folk collective Fat-Suit will be cramming the stage and cooking up a funktastic storm of grooves to get you on your feet on the dance floor. Whoop!
Fat-Suit are an exuberant jazz-funk-folk collective hailing from Glasgow. The influence of the modern jazz greats combines with noughties indie guitar riffs, 90s dance sounds, and timeless groove and funk, while their softer side opens up to folk melodies with celtic roots. They embrace a seamless mix of musical styles, with the priority being to evoke MAXIMUM JOY through their supercharged live performance. Equally at home on a late night festival slot, jazz club, concert hall – OR EVEN A VILLAGE HALL IN RURAL FIFE – some recent performance highlights include Love Supreme Jazz Festival, Boomtown, Vsetin Jazz Festival (CZ), Budapest Jazz Club, and Jazzdock (Prague).
Hailed as ‘Ones to Watch’ by Jazzwise magazine, and winners of ‘Best Band’ & ‘Best Album’ at the Scottish Jazz Awards, they embrace a seamless mix of musical styles in a ‘showcase of sonic domination. One to dance at’ (STV).
Their most recent album ’Waifs & Strays’ was recorded live in Glasgow’s Drygate Brewery and took them on a release tour across the UK culminating in a sold out headline show at Celtic Connections.
The energy in the room is going to be IMMENSE!!
Have a listen to this and you’ll be hooked from the first bar! Don’t be alarmed at the cast of 25! The touring ensemble will be 8 – still a crowd on our wee stage!
Don’t wait about! The tickets are already flying off the digital shelves – ticket link here>>

Letham Nights…
Letham Nights began in December 2008. Our vision is to bring high quality music to our village hall and provide a stage for talent, both local and global. At the same time we want to promote sustainability and work towards creating a zero carbon village hall. 14 years and over 100 acts later, we have drawn in an audience which now averages 100 in our 120-capacity hall. We have supported hall improvements so that we now have double glazing, better insulation, renewed wiring and a new efficient boiler. The events are renowned for their high quality music and the unique, warm and friendly atmosphere. We really do put on THE BEST SMALL GIGS IN THE WORLD!
